Biography

Dr Wei Wang, MD, PhD, FFPH, is professor of School of Medical Sciences, Edith Cowan University, Australia. He is also professor/director, Beijing Municipal Key Laboratory of Clinical Epidemiology and Capital Medical University, Beijing, China. He holds the honorary positions as fellow of the Public Health Faculty, Royal College of Physicians, UK; Adjunct Professor of North Western University, Chicago, USA, and Adjunct Professor of University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, USA. Prof Wang’s contributions to medical sciences include service as an Executive Member of the International Society of Translational Medicine, Membership of the Standing Committee of the International Association of Physiological Anthropology, Membership of the expert panel advising the WHO on its ‘Grand Challenges in Genomics for Public Health in Developing Countries’, and he is a Steering Committee Member of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Initiative on Public Health Genomics.
