Dr.Ying-Chih Wang is working as an Associate professor at University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, USA. Ying-Chih Wang’s current research interests are to develop quantitative functional outcome measures and to perform comparative effectiveness research with new rehabilitation technologies. In the past few years, Wang has assisted Craig Velozo at the Medical School of South Carolina in several outcome research projects funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) and VA Rehabilitation Research and Development (RR&D). She also has assisted Zev Rymer, Vice President for Research at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), to execute projects funded by National Institutes of Health (NIH). The main purpose of the NIH-funded Toolbox project is to provide investigators with a brief, but comprehensive measurement tool for assessment of cognitive, emotional, sensory and motor function of participants in large cohort studies, such as epidemiological studies, clinical studies or clinical trials, as part of the NIH Blueprint for Neuroscience. In 2009, Wang was funded by a five-year NIDRR training center grant as a principal investigator (PI) on a sub-project on enhancing the functional and employment outcomes in individuals who experience a stroke.
