Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) is a public university, founded in the lush hills of Nanshan District, Shenzhen. It is working towards becoming a world-class university excelling in interdisciplinary research, nurturing innovative talents and delivering new knowledge to the world. SUSTech has had the mission of reforming higher education in China since its launch in 2011. By taking a pioneering and innovative approach, it has been widely regarded as collectively moving the higher education sector forward to match the needs of China and its role in education on a global scale. In 2012, the Ministry of Education endorsed and acknowledged the university as a platform for experimenting with Chinese higher education reform. With the vision of the leadership team and a globally trained faculty, SUSTech is resolute in its determination to fulfill its goal of being a world-class higher education research institution with broad societal impacts that advance science and technology in an increasingly global economy.
