Dr. Christopher Badurek is an Assistant Professor Applichian State University. Dr. Badurek did PhD from University at Buffalo, State University of New York. Dr. Badurek has published many articles in various journals. Dr. Badurek had previously worked on applied interdisciplinary GIS projects involving regional community policing in Buffalo and a USAID project on developing land information systems and spatial data infrastructure in Guatemala.

Dr. Badurek's areas of expertise are the development of geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial databases, particularly for social science applications. His most recent research focuses on developing analytical tools for examining patterns of change in crime in São Paulo, Brazil.  He is also interested in developing tools to assist other social and environmental scientists with using and integrating spatial information technologies.
