Biography

Dr. Yougui Wu is an Associate Professor at University of South Florida, USA. Dr. Wu received his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from University of Maryland at College Park, worked as a Pre-doctoral research fellow in Statistics at National Institute on Deafness and Other Communicative Disorders before he was recruited to USF. Dr. Wu is the Director of Data Management & Biostatistics Core of the NIH-National Institute on Aging designated Florida Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Dr. Wu's statistical methodological research interests have been mainly in the area of time series, semi-parametric statistical inference, biomarker evaluation in longitudinal studies, case-control family data analyses, and misclassification effects on control charts. In addition to his methodological research, Dr Wu has been actively involved in collaborative research in clinical trials and observational studies with researchers from Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Clinical Core and Mouse Core of the FADRC, as well as the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. The applications have included mouse trials, Dementia and Alzheimer's disease, and infectious diseases.
