Biography

Dr. Henk Lingeman received his PhD in 1986 at Leiden University. In 1988 he was appointed at VU University where he is now associate professor. His research interests mainly lie in the development of automated procedures for the determination of analytes - especially drugs, peptides and proteins - in biological and pharmaceutical samples. Emphasis is on sample preparation methods and procedures. In 1990, he received the Jubilee medal of the British Chromatographic Society. Currently, Dr. Lingeman is advisor for training issues of the Dutch Society of Clinical and Pharmaceutical Technicians, and a member of the Board of Trustees-at-large of the International Association for Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis in the USA. He was editor of the Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, and since 2003 he is editor of Chromatographia. Dr. Lingeman is on the editorial board of several international analytical journals.

Research Interest

Development of automated procedures for the determination of analytes - especially drugs, peptides and proteins - in biological and pharmaceutical samples, sample preparation methods and procedures.
