Biography

Raghu V. Anjanapura received his Ph.D. degree in polymer chemistry from the Karnatak University, Dharwad, under the guidance of Prof. T. M. Aminabhavi. Later, he worked as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Department of Chemistry, University of Ulsan, Ulsan, Republic of Korea, and as R&D Manager at Fuel Cell Division, Reliance Industries Ltd., Mumbai, India, and PPISR, Bengaluru in the areas of polymer membranes for fuel cells, before joining as an Assistant Professor at the Center for Emerging Technologies, Jain University, Bengaluru, India.He has also received Brain Korea 21 (BK-21) Post-Doctoral Fellowship from South Korea. Currently he is working on project sponsored by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. He has given many invited talks at national and international conferences and educational institutes. He has published about 70 research articles in reputed journals, one review article, and 32 conference proceedings. Presently he is an editor and editorial board member for several national and international journals.

Research Interest

His main research interests are synthesis and characterization of various types of organic polymers, functional nanomaterials, hybrid nanocomposites for applications in PEMFC, pervaporation membrane separations, super capacitor, sensors, batteries, and carbon-based nanomaterials/waterborne polyurethanes for the electrical insulation applications. He has received several research grants in the areas of polymer chemistry, membranes, and nanotechnology. Recently, he got Arunai International Research Foundation (AIRF) Faculty Award 2017 in the field of Chemistry. He received “Seed Money for Young Scientist” award from Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST), Government of Karnataka.
