Dr. Chen is interested in using field information (including field experiment and survey), ecological analysis and modeling, remote sensing and GIS for basic ecological and forestry research, especially for ecological systems (e.g., forest landscapes and ecosystems) dynamics, biodiversity conservation and integrated environmental management for sustainable development under complicated settings (e.g., global climatic change and human activities).
