Dr. Yuanhua DONG is a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, obtained his Ph.D. in 1993 at the Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, majored in Ecology. The main research themes are the following. (1) The Soil Ecology, trying to understand the interaction between soil organisms, plant roots and soil health, and set up the techniques to restore functions of soil ecosystems. (2) Pollution Ecology, interested in the pollution features in manures and soils, and their impacts on soil health and food quality.  Dr. DONG has published 190 papers and 5 monographs, applied 53 national invention patents of China and 2 PCT international invention patents, authorized to obtain 40 national invention patents and 1 PCT invention patent. Dr. DONG is the Director of the Taizhou Center for Technology Industrialization and Translation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and also serves as the Chairman of the Soil Engineering Committee, Soil Science Society of China, and  vice president of the Soil Society of Jiangsu province of China.
