Maurizio Rija was born in Cosenza on the 4th of October 1970. He graduated from the Università della Calabria in 1997 with a degree in Economic and Social Sciences. He was awarded a Doctorate in 2004 by the Università della Calabria; his thesis was entitled “Company, State and Market”. Maurizio Rija received a two-year research grant for research in Business Economics at the Department of Business Sciences at the Università della Calabria. In 2007 he was appointed as researcher in Business Economics. In 2014, he became Associate Professor of Business Economics at the Department of Business and Legal Sciences, Università della Calabria, where he holds the course in Company Auditing and Business Organisation. He has also attended a post-graduate course in Account analysis for the evaluation of company risk and in Business Economics at the Università della Calabria.
