Biography

Dr. Amy Copeland came to Louisiana State University in 2005 and is an Director of Psychological Services Center, Associate Professor, Psychology Department, Louisiana State University and Adjunct Associate Professor, Pennington Biomedical Research Center. She received a Post-Doctoral M.S. in Clinical Psychopharmacology, Alliant International University, December 2008, a Post-Doctoral Fellow, University of California, San Francisco, clinical research fellowship, Public Service and Minority Mental Health, Specialization in Substance Abuse & HIV 1998, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, State University of New York, Binghamton, June 1997. Dr. Amy Copeland received Scholarship Award, Clinical Psychopharmacology M.P. (Alliant University), College of Arts & Sciences, Louisiana State University, 2006. BP Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, Louisiana State University, 2005. Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society, Superior Instruction of Freshman Students, Louisiana State University, Fall, 2003 and many more.

Research Interest

Dr. Amy Copeland's research interests include: Cognitive and affective variables in substance use initiation, maintenance, cessation, and relapse. Primarily interested in licit (tobacco/nicotine) and illicit (cocaine, methamphetamine) psychomotor stimulants.
