Biography

Bojan Zalar, born in Ljubljana, completed his psychology studies at the University of Ljubljana. He specialized in clinical psychology at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana, under the auspices of the Ministry of Health in 1987. During his specialization (1984) he completed his studies at the Maudsley Hospital (London, GB) within the framework of the British Council; Radcliff Infirmary, University Department of Clinical Neurology (Oxford, GB), The Institute of Neurology (Queen Square, London, GB). In 1993, he completed his master's and doctoral studies in 1997. He received the title of assistant professor in 2000, associate professor 2007 (Faculty of Medicine, Maribor), and he was habilitated at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 2012.He has published about 200 publications and over thirty international indexed publications - SCI, SSCI, which also have high international visibility - over 300 pure quotations. He has already run seven and participated in the other seven scientific national ARRS projects. He is the bearer of the first national scientific program in the field of psychiatry entitled Systemic approach to stress management (2009-2015) and the second one entitled Systemic medicine in the application of stress, the assessment of consequences and homeostatic processes in patients with cancer, asthma, and depressive disorder, and their relatives. 2016- 2019).

His research interest mainly in Traumatic Stress.
