Biography
Dr. Mohsen Janmohammadi received his Ph.D. in Crop Physiology from Tehran University in 2008. He is currently working as a Full Professor of crop physiology at Agriculture college, University of Maragheh. He has worked some months as sabbatical periods in Applied Biochemistry group, Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research, Germany, Field Research Center- Lincoln University, New Zealand, Department of Plant Sciences, University of California, Davis. His recent research focused on safflower and cool season legumes such as chickpea and their response to water deficiency and fertilizers.
Research Interest
Dr. Mohsen Janmohammadi, expects to evaluate of safflower and other crops for tolerance to water stress. He plans on conducting field studies where fully irrigated crops are compared to crops receiving deficit irrigation under different nutrients managements. Janmohammadi is interested in studying the proteome response to different environmental factors especially cold stress. He intends to work with breeders to establish segregating populations of cool season legumes and to measure agronomic traits and physiological variables that might improve selection efficiency as opposed to selection based on yield alone.
