Dr. Paul E Nachtigall is the Director of Marine Mammal Research Program, Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology in University of Hawaii. He is a member of the faculty of the School of Earth Ocean Science and Technology at Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology. Dr. Nachtigall received his PhD in comparative/experimental psychology from University of Hawaii in 1976. He served as interim director at Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology in University of Hawaii, visiting scientist and director of the Marine Mammal Research program at the University of Hawaii and Head of Research Branch and Division at Naval Command, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center, Kailua, Hawaii. Dr. Nachtigall also served as a scientist at Naval Ocean Systems Centre, Kailua and Research Associate at naval Undersea Centre, Kailua.
