Biography

I have a degree of Bachelor in biotechnology at the National University of Quilmes, Argentina; oriented to the knowledge about molecular biology techniques applied to different systems of proteins expression, genetic engineering techniques and the development of biotechnology processes. I hold a Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences at the National University of La Plata, Argentina; my doctoral thesis was focused on the expression of recombinant proteins of Equine Influenza virus. This expanded my knowledge in the development, production and quality-control of recombinant proteins. At Present, I work as teacher and researcher at the Chair of virology in the Department of Microbiology of the Faculty of Veterinary Science at the National University of La Plata, Argentina. My areas of expertise include virology, Influenza A virus, diagnostic techniques, molecular biology, cloning and expression of proteins. My current research includes expression of recombinant proteins (Equine Influenza, Rabies and Canine Distemper virus); and the diagnostic and epidemiology of bee viruses.
