Biography
Nejat Duzgunes received his PhD from SUNY Buffalo. He was a National Cancer Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at UCSF, where he became an adjunct research faculty. He became Chair of the Department of Microbiology (1990) and Professor at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco (1995). His current research interests are the gene therapy of oral cancer and mechanisms and inhibitors of HIV.
