Biography

Monica Palma was born in Lecce. She had got a Degree in Economics (cum laude) at the University of Salento (Lecce, Italy) in 1996; in 2003 she had a PhD in statistics at the University "G. D'Annunzio" (Chieti-Pescara, Italy), with a dissertation in "Multivariate Geostatistics: some developments for spatial-temporal multivariate data". Since 2015, she is Associate Professor in Statistics at the University of Salento.  Monica Palma is author of several papers published on international journals, such as Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment, Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, Mathematical Geosciences, Environmetrics and several monographs and text-books.

Research Interest

a) Multivariate Geostatistics for environmental data,  b) Space-time covariance modelling, c) Stochastic conditional and non-conditional simulation,  d) GIS and WebGIS for big data, e) Spatio-temporal multivariate predictions.
