Wael Abdel Kawy is a Professor in Department of Soil Science started his academic career as the Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt. He holds several degrees and he recieved his PhD in 2002(Soil Science), MSc (Soil Science) in 1998, Bsc (Soil Science)in 1993 from Cairo University, Egypt.

Wael Abdel Kawy research interests include Soil Morphology and Classification, Land Resources Assessment, Evaluation and Conservation, Land Resource Management, Soil Morphology, Soil Mineralogy, Soil Chemistry, Soil Erosion and Watershed Management, Dry Land Agriculture, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems.
