Dr. Shuxia Wang is an Associate Professor in Pharmacology & Nutritional Sciences in the University of Kentucky, USA. Dr. Shuxia Wang received his Ph.D. degree from Peking Union Medical College, China and completed his postdoctoral from University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA.

Research Interest

Dr. Shuxia Wang research focus has been on the role of matricellular protein-thrombospondin1 (TSP1) in metabolic and cardiovascular and renal diseases. Dr. Shuxia Wang current research in lab focuses on the novel role of TSP1 in obesity and obesity induced metabolic disorders. We also study the important role of cGMP/PKG pathway in the development of obesity and its associated metabolic syndrome using PKG transgenic mice generated in my lab. .
