Prof. Mahendra Pal is an internationally renowed scientist having 46 years of experience in teaching, research, extension, planning and administration in Veterinary Science. He was awarded with highly prestigious national “Jawaharlal Nehru Award” of I.C.A.R. in Veterinary Bacteriology. He got “Distinguished Teacher Award” in 2002, and “Life Achievement Award”in 2014. He developed the "Sunflower seed agar" for the rapid laboratory diagnosis and epidemiological investigation of Cryptococcosis in 1980. He authored seven books and published over 520 papers in national & International journals.
