Biography

Dr. Jerry W. Lin is a fellowship-trained neurotologist. He is a graduate of Harvard Medical School, trained in otolaryngology at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and completed his fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Lin is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and he is a member of the American Neurotology Society. He is the former Director of The Hearing Center and Cochlear Implant Program at Texas Children’s Hospital. He has a particular interest in hearing loss and clinical outcomes of pediatric and adult cochlear implantation, and he speaks nationally regarding this topic. Other areas of clinical expertise include otologic diseases such as chronic otitis media, cholesteatoma, otosclerosis, and conductive hearing loss, neurotologic diseases of the inner ear and facial nerve, and skull base surgery for the treatment of acoustic neuromas, meningiomas, temporal bone tumors and other diseases of the skull base.

Otology, including chronic otitis media, cholesteatoma, otosclerosis, and conductive hearing loss; neurotology, particularly cochlear implantation, inner ear disease, and facial nerve disorders; and skull base surgery for the treatment of acoustic neuromas, meningiomas, glomus jugulare tumors, temporal bone and other skull base tumors; Physiology and adaptation in vestibular and balance disorders, novel applications in temporal bone and skullbase imaging
